There’s simply no way to sugarcoat this.
Democrats have convinced their party’s members to walk in lockstep and obstruct every aspect of President Trump’s agenda. The fact that Republicans have joined them in that obstructionism reveals that these RINOs are more intent on damaging Trump’s presidency than they are with improving the lives of the people who voted for them.
The Republican refusal to pass meaningful healthcare reform can now only be blamed directly on the party’s so-called “moderates” who have joined with Democrats in obstructing President Trump’s agenda.
These are the same disingenuous men and women who sent more than 50 repeal bills to President Obama for his signature. Mitch McConnell reminded us of this at the Republican National Convention when Donald Trump was officially nominated as their presidential candidate:
Now that these Republicans who have been entrusted by the voters to “repeal and replace” the Affordable Healthcare Act actually have a president that will sign it they are insisting that major cost drivers and limitations on choice must be kept in the bill.
Their bluff has been called and they are being forced to show the hand of a loser.
This morning on Varney and Company, Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert raised the specter that obstructionist Republicans are doing this to deny President Trump a legislative triumph at the cost of the American people:
Gohmert said that the conservative caucus has given up on the repeal of Obamacare and has compromised as much as it can if there is to be any meaningful reform that will actually result in saving our healthcare system from the death spiral it is currently in.
Then he dropped this bomb:
Rep. Gohmert: “I hate to say this on television because it sounds like such a wild idea but Stuart it’s almost as if there was some kind of force within the Republican Party that did want to see Trump succeed.”
Varney: “You think there’s something going on amongst moderate Republicans or whom so ever that are anti-Trump within the Republican Party?… I can’t believe that there are people in the Republican Party, in Congress who do not want to see the president’s agenda even succeed partially.”
Rep. Gohmert: “Well I know it’s just crazy but if you go back and look at September and October leading up to the election there were people that were campaigning on issues that were 180 degrees the other direction from what President Trump was campaigning on.”
Really? Gohmert has finally hinted at what many of us have pretty much surmised; Progressive-Marxist-Globalists have infiltrated every institution of government including the Republican Party.
It’s time to identify these non-conservatives and take back our party. Let’s make the 2018 Republican primaries a bloodbath for these turncoats.
